So it is Oscar season which is exciting stuff and inspired me to make an Academy Awards for the combination of track and field. The nominees will be announced shortly but here are the categories:

Best Art Direction (AKA Best Cross Country Course of the Year)
Best Cinematography (AKA Best Track Meet of the Year)
Best Costume Design (AKA Coolest Uniforms of the Year)
Best Director (AKA Coach of the Year)
Best Documentary Feature (AKA Best New Penntrack Poster)
Best Film Editing (AKA Best Upset of the Year)
Best Foreign Language Film (AKA Best High School Race Outside of PA)

I will be accepting nominations anytime and will announce the official nominees over the next few weeks starting on the 8th and then you the fans will have a chance to vote before the official unveiling of the results on March 1st (Dates Subject to Change). We may be able to have fun with this and even have a host and special guest presenters or something if people make videos at home and send them in. We shall see. But for now start the nominations to yours truly. Remember the time period this is supposed to take place between is Feb 1, 2010 to Feb 1, 2011 roughly speaking.
