This what I am guesstimating for heats based on adjusted seeding. *ed teams and individuals got in without hitting the SQS mark. State meet previews coming in the future.

@ForestCRN Why no Emery in the 3k?
ReplyDeleteAh, Emery will be running the 1200 leg for CRN's DMR and he wanted to be fresh. Talking with the guys it was just something he wanted to do. He's been trying to get more speed work in this season to help himself with the 3200 outdoors.
DeleteHe just wanted to run the 3k to help get Wilson the time and to see what he could do, but Ross just took command of the race and Emery just hung out in 3rd/4th and kicked (split 32.1 for his last lap).
Do expect Emery to be running the 3200 outdoors and looking for a Penn Relays 3k spot though.
As for other matters Etain and I are working seperatly with our predictions for the states races and will be filming tomorrow morning to discuss how we feel the reaces play out along with who our medalists are in each event.
Later in the week we may do a video with points and team title contenders.

etrain, will you be doing the fantasy thing again?
Deletegood question, i'd like to, if i do i will make a note of it here and on facebook and start up a group
DeleteHow is Pennridge in the top 4x800 heat when CD, State College, and Delco all have faster SQS times?
ReplyDeleteAll times get converted to a banked track. Pennridge's time was on a flat track, and therefore will be converted ahead of those teams. Which is a same, since Pennridge isn't running their fastest squad, unlike those other schools
Delete--ForrestCRN
That's one hefty conversion
Deleteit's about 2.4 seconds from flat track to banked track in the 4x8 ... so yes indeed ... in the ncaa now it would be closer to a 5 second conversion from flat to bank so i guess these teams should consider themselves lucky
DeleteNo Henderson in the DMR? No LaSalle in the 4x800?
ReplyDeleteperformance list up on penntrack, that's where these are coming from ... henderson will run russell, barchet and collins in the opens while lasalle will look to take down the state meet record with stone and coyle doubling off individuals
Deletewhat does the bold mean?
ReplyDeleteits just meant to distinguish who is in which heat in my projections of what the heats will look like
Deleteis states a no scratch meet?
ReplyDeletestates is a no scratch meet
DeleteEtrain, you should put a poll of who would win the team championship. Unlike last year, this year will close
ReplyDeleteWell my Henderson speculation of going after the DMR was way off. The last time they met my I predictions-at Yale, I posted a thank you for helping me keep my foot out of my mouth....they didn't help this time!
ReplyDeleteI am shocked that WCH abandoned the DMR, that's their signature race. I'm interested to see their line up for the 4x800. With LaSalle in the DMR, WCH could be in the mix for the win.
That mile race should be very exciting. So long as they're no longer ill, Coyle, Huemmler should mix it up well with Russell and Harriman and push a low time, maybe 4:15 or better. And somebody else will likely surprise with a nice drop too.
I still think the mile/3K a risky combo for Russell or anyone. It'll take a herculean effort to win that 3K against guys who are fresh, though if anyone can do it, it's Russell.
- RJJL
Is Russell going to pull a triple & run in the 4x8? He'd be nuts to do that but I thought etrain said Henderson had a bunch of 2flat 800 guys + Chaborek who could get it done.
DeleteCoyle has to be favored in the mile, Russell or Aziz in the 3.
