Rankings 9/30

So I'm not sure how in depth I can go right now about why I picked what, especially given how much crazy action there was this weekend, but if you have any questions about something, comment away and this coming week I will make a post answering everyone's questions. Honestly, it was incredibly hard to do the rankings this week so many answers are going to be less than satisfactory in many cases. So new rankings ladies and gentleman (most likely just gentleman, but don't want to assume no ladies read) are:

EDIT: I edited this to include age and class, however, I am not postive about all the ages and classes, I'm doing it from memory.

  1. Austin Pondel raced the Cochranton invite but the results aren't up on penntrack yet... idk why but it always takes forever from that invite

    1. Pondel went 15:47 at Cochranton yesterday. Hunter Johnston (Saegertown) was second at 16:10. I happened to be around the Corry coach and heard her comment that she talked to Pondel about going out easy in the race. He didn't take over the lead until the mid-way point, but still it was an easy run for him. Can't wait to see him and Jaskowak in the D10 AA race in a few weeks. That will help with the rankings (before states at least).

  2. etrain you should put the person's age or grade next to their name so juniors, sophomores, and freshmen can see who they might be racing in the next few years. Also it would be cool for the kids on the list to see what they are ranked for their grade.

    1. also maybe put "A" "AA" "AAA" next to it

  3. Alex Knapp? Hendersons current 4th man? He's good, might end up being real good, and has definitely stepped it up for them with Haugh down. But no WCE runners at least in the just missing category too?

  4. Diestelow and Cummings were among the people just missing, but I wanted to throw some new names in the mix ... usually there is a group of 10-12 guys who are just missing and i throw in some new names every week so more people can feel involved/be on my reader's radar ... the east boys are good but i don't have them in my top 50 just yet ... i have still given them plenty of respect in the team rankings (and will likely continue to do so) so it's not like I am not a believer in their talent, but they are a pack driven squad

    1. That's good to spread it around, after the top 20 or so they become very bunched together.

Making the etrain rankings, even 'just missing', is an honor to some!

  5. Pitone should be closer to James and savage because he wasn't far behind them at all this weekend

    1. This weekend and Briarwood they were a tight group, at the state course, however, he was closer to Pastore ... i think Pitone is more in Savage and James territory than Pastore, but I didn't want to go too bold on his move back up the rankings ... Savage and James have been more consistent so far and earned a higher rank, but I agree that Pitone probably was a bit slighted this week

    2. yea but who they beat can be taken seriously. Afterall, that's what the rankings are based off of not times.

  8. Honestly, im sick of all this Chesmont talk. Besides henderson none of the teams are that good this year. WCE ran good this weekend but still only averaged 1641, they can maybe crack the top 7 or 8 at states. People are just trying to find something to talk about because District one is WAY down this year.

    1. The top 4 are pretty solidly ranked right now, people just want to argue about something and if thats who gets 5-10 then thats what they'll do

    2. DWest is for real, they'll upset Henderson.

    3. Henderson already beat Dwest

  9. District one has 5 of the 10 top rankings in the state and you're saying they are way down? I guess that's solid reasoning. Chesmonts has three teams in the top 10 and GV was in it earlier this year, so four have been. That's why there is so much chesmont talk.
