District 7 Picks AAA

I got North Allegheny taking the team title followed by Mt. Lebo and Fox Chapel stepping up to edge their way in front of Pittsburgh CC. The boys from PCC ran great this past weekend and they could definitely be heading back to states, but I think Fox Chapel has potential to improve. Both of their front runners are solid and I think their pack can run better than they did last weekend. Lebo and NA are the clear 1 and 2. NA really broke out at this race last year and I expect a big jump from McGoey if he goes for it from the start and races with Zemet in the lead pack. Having Meehan back should also help lower those times. I think Lebo may have a bit of an off weekend, they have had their fair share of struggles here and have come back strong at states. I expect Kennedy to run away with this race as well. Shields is my big sleeper I think he has a bunch of potential in the next two weekends. I hope Caleb Wakeley sneaks into states as well, but I think, unfortunately, early season set backs are hard to overcome.

    1. Louco I completely blanked on thats kind of embarassing my fault, he would be in my top 20 no doubt, close behind Seel and Love at this point ... Labash and Wakeley are the two guys just off my list right now

  4. Labash had an off day at Tri-States, it's understandable that Etrain wouldn't have much confidence in him right now.

NA is the clear winner in this meet. I’m not doing numbers because I’m not great with D7 stats in general. I’m a big believer in seniors stepping it up in the spot light and I think Chris Culley will be one of those guys. Mt. Lebanon should take second like they did at Tri-States, but for 3rd I have Fox Chapel. Again with seniors stepping it up I think James Humphrey will lead those two sophs (4-5) into better positions at districts and they’ll beat out Pittsburgh CC.

Not sure who that troll was earlier, but oh well. Glad to know I'm hated :)

    1. Congrats to everyone in D7. Just want to say great work to both Culley and Humphrey. Humphey was 60th at tri-states and came up big to get his team a bid to the state meet. Good luck to everyone from this district at states.

As for Mike Meeghan does anyone know if he is injured? He hasn't raced in a couple of weeks. Nice jobs to the NA boys for running well again this week. Kennedy seems to be rounding into good shape for a top 3 finish in AAA states. Maybe even a win depending on how legit Pondel is. Guess we'll have to wait for D10 results

  7. Times were pretty slow, no one was really used to running in any weather over 55-60 degrees this year. Every race was delayed because the ambulances had to take runners from every race to the hospital.
