Obviously the big missing piece is Futch. Right now on Penntrack you can read about his disagreement with an official which most likely will hold him out of this meet. Pennwood still is a great 4x4, but with Futch we learned that this squad has the potential to drop into the 3:15 range, maybe even lower. Unfortunately, don't get your hopes up to see Futch this weekend.
Will Baily drops the 1600m to focus on the 800m. Very smart choice in my opinion. He has a shot to win the 800m but he has almost no shot at winning the 1600m and if the pace is fast again he may not even medal. Also dropping the 1600m was District 3 Champion Drew Gerberich. He dropped a 4:16 and beat Vinny Todaro, but he opted to focus on the 800m which he doubled back to in 1:55. An interesting choice, certainly something to keep an eye on.
Jaskowak is signed up for the 1600m and the 3200m. His 4x8 is the hunt to qualify for the finals, but in my opinion this 16 and 32 set up means he won't try the 4x8.
Cumberland Valley and Chambersburg both will double their guys in individual events which may hurt them come finals in the 4x8 if they have tired legs. On the other side, Kohler scratches from the open 800m (and therefore so to must have Jenkins from Downingtown) giving Pennridge just the two relays to focus on over the course of the weekend. Makes the 4x8 debate more interesting as well.
On the AA side, Galassi decides to not run the 1600m, making him fresh for the 3200m. Shearn will run trials of the 1600m the day before the 32. Josef D. will also run 1600m trials the day before.
The D4 results are not in yet, but I assume Williams will keep himself fresh for the 32 and Jewett will be in the 1600m ready to throw down against Smathers (who is running the 800m as well).
As for Quaker Valley, I think Hadfield is on their 4x8 but I'm not positive. He's running the 32. Westwood and Fox are both running the open 800m. That could cause problems for this team against Christopher Dock who dropped an 8 flat at their district meet dominating out front against Lower Moreland. Dock will double Frank in the 1600m and the 4x8.
Once I see heat sheets I can predict finalists in each event. For now I will try to get a 3200m preview done.
Can you post the link for performance list?
